One of the big questions currently being asked by educators is to see sample items from SMARTER Balanced. Chose the link "Common Core Resources" on the far right to see all the SBAC sample items for mathematics currently available in one PDF per grade level.

Connecting Assessments Through the Arts

Today, we’re going to take a look at the PARCC sample assessment prototypes and find out how the Arts can find their elegant fit in these areas. Please keep in mind that these are suggestions at this point and there is a great possibility of changes happening here. However, what I find so exciting in the structure of these assessments is the direct connection to how the Arts provide critique in each of their areas. Let’s dig in!

Guiding Principles for the Arts and Common Core
